Sucker`wfp21 in Progress
{ SUCKER`wfp21 } is an art project being created by artist Firoz Mahmud in Tokyo. This 8 meter by 6 meter fighter aircraft will travel to war victim cities/countries.
Concept:
The project`SUCKER`wfp21` is inspired by Bangladeshi Liberation war against Pakistan and wars of the 21 century, militarism and artillery that contemporary governments concern about , express pride and tend to prepare for war. The fighter aircraft considers the interplay of militarism and prejudice in the context of state of civil defense and also functions as a stage for the reinterpretation of the language of political or beneficial rhetoric. The aircrafts, made of plastic, bean, crops and rice are based on the concern that many people share paying tax to government and staple food by which people survive on: that of alimentary sovereignty and genetically modified food.
